NS Bikes have been about for a relatively short time, starting up in 2003 with a range of dirt jump and freeride bikes. The brand have had some great success in the market so moving into the trail and downhill market was a natural move no more so than when the original aluminium Snabb came out.

The Snabb is the middle ground, this is the 160mm travel 27.5” version in aluminium. This Snabb 2 is the lower end of the scale that NS offer and seems to be a bargain. The NS Snabb 130 Plus 1 is billed as a burly all-rounder, capable of keeping up with the DH rigs whilst also being able to hang with your XC mates on a big loop. Ben has had the NS Snabb 130 Plus 1 for a few months of hard and varied riding to find out if it is as versatile as promised.

The Snabb T2 is a perfect platform for any all-round mountain biker and a great base to build up from, especially since it’s built on the same aftermarket frame that it’s higher end brother uses. The Snabb T2 features the Rock Shox Sector forks and our favourite 1×10 drivetrain with a climbing cog and the package includes NS aftermarket parts such as the Quantum stem and updated Terra bars.
